Northern project aiming to boost exports, ease poverty
VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – The Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) have launched a new effort to increase the country’s exports and support investment in business development.
Targeting sectors in the three northern provinces of Laos where improvements would directly increase incomes for poor households and especially women, the US$1.8 million investment will focus on increasing the productivity of agribusinesses and handicrafts.
